Michael D. "Mic" Wobig, 59, Lincoln, passed away Tuesday (9/13/05). Born, Albion (11/9/45), to Dean Arnold and Dolores Carolyn (Nelson) Wobig. Adopted and raised from childhood by Delores Heithold Wobig. Graduate, Newman Grove High School, University of Nebraska. Corporate chair of the JDRF. Member, Sheridan Lutheran Church. Active leader in church, professional and community organizations. Loved nothing more than to be with family and friends.

Survivors: wife, Mary; son, spouse, Scott and Debbie Wobig, Lincoln; grandson, Alex Wobig; expectant grandchild in November; daughter, Carly Wobig, Arlington, Va.; mother, Delores Wobig, Lincoln; brothers, spouses, Randall D. and Lynn Wobig, Randall C. and Karen Wobig, all Lincoln; sisters, Jane Eggers, Sally Wobig, both Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Kathy Wobig, Lincoln, Candace and Dave Mowers, Lakewood, Colo.; nieces; nephews; cousins. Preceded in death by: parents, Dean Arnold and Dolores Carolyn (Nelson) Wobig; brother, Jim; grandparents.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sheridan Lutheran Church, 70th Street and Old Cheney, Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. today, funeral home. Memorials, in lieu of flowers: JDRF; The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; MS Society; church; or donor's choice.
