Harmon, 90, an uncle of Mrs. Nellie Hamilton of this city, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton County Hospital. He had been in poor health the past several weeks. He had been making his home with Mrs. Hamilton the past 10 months. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J.J. Share officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at Stratford. Walter Olaf Harmon, son of Peter and Mary Harmon, was born April 28, 1866, on a farm in Boone county. When he was 12 years old he moved with his parents to a farm in South Dakota. As a young man he moved to Chicago where he owned and operated a hardware and furniture store. He was later elected to the city treasurer's office, a position he held for two terms. He was united in marriage to Sophie Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Harmon made their home for many years in East Chicago, Ind. where Mrs. Harmon died in January, 1944. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

W.O. Harmon Dies at 90
