Barbara Jean Johnson 1937–2008

Lane, Barbara Jean Johnson, age 71 of Loudon, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at UT Medical Center.

Barbara was a member of Blairland Baptist Church. She retired from Viskase following 34 years of service and was a doting and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell H. and Vancie (Terry) Johnson; sister, Linda Johnson; brothers, Larry and Russell Johnson, Sr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, L. Gerald Lane; daughters and son in-law, Karen and Ketil Brynestad, Oak Ridge, Pam Lane Hill, Loudon; grandchildren, Elna and Kirsten Brynestad, Oak Ridge, Chase Hill, Loudon; brothers and sisters in-law, David and Ruth Johnson, Kenneth and Donna Johnson, all of Lenoir City, John Johnson, Loudon; sisters and brother in-law, Joyce and Charles White, Sweetwater, Louise Cook, Glendale and Lillian Sarten, Lenoir City; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 4:00 PM Saturday, McGill-Karnes Chapel, Rev. Jon Henson and Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Entombment 2:00 PM Sunday, Loudon County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon.
