OBITUARY WESTRUM RITES AT STRATFORD STRATFORD-Funeral services for Mrs. Ica Cora Westrum, 92, will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at the Calvary Methodist church in Stratford with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be made in the South Marion cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Hanson-Stark-Welin funeral home in Stratford until noon Thursday when the body will be taken to the church. Mrs. Westrum died Monday morning, on her 92nd birthday at East Lane Manor in Jewell where she had been a resident since September, 1968. Survivors include two sons, Martin and Eldon Westrum, both of Stratford; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Ruby) Erickson of Detroit and Mrs. Howard ( Alberta) Ewing of Cedar Rapids; 24 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; one-great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born June 28, 1879 in Stratford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Buren Neese. On July 19, 1899, she married Jonas O. Westrum at Webster City. She was a longtime member of the Calvary Methodist church at Stratford, various church organizations and the OAY Birthday club at Stratford. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Pearl, and Opal; her parents, five brothers and one sister. |
